Worthwise

How it works

Worthwise is the easiest way to keep track of your net worth. No bloated UI, no categorization, no spreadsheets. Just quick updates by text.

Why we built this

Most personal finance apps do many things: budgeting, categorization, investment advice, retirement projections, FIRE calculators, and so on. They take a while to set up, and even longer to actually use. Many people (myself included) quit using them within a few weeks.

For Worthwise, we wanted to build something simpler.

Keeping track of your money

For the most part, you already know the things you actually want to know about your money:

You don’t need a dashboard to answer these questions. You need a quick number on demand, and maybe a friendly nudge every so often. That’s all Worthwise is.

Three simple steps

1. Link your accounts

We use Plaid, the same secure layer most modern fintech apps use, to connect your banks, brokerages, and credit cards. It’s read-only. We can see balances, but we can’t move money. We never see your actual bank login.

2. Pick a cadence

We text you a one-line net-worth update daily, weekly, or monthly:

Your net worth: $342,180. Up $4,210 (1.2%) since last week.

That’s it. Read it in three seconds and get on with your day.

3. Text us anytime

Have a question about your accounts between scheduled check-ins? Just text us. Worthwise will answer in plain language using your real numbers.

What we don’t do

How much

$3 a month for early adopters. No tiers, no upsells, no “premium.” Cancel anytime.
